Grammy-winning producer/dj/artist/actor, Pete Rock was born in the birthplace of hip hop: the Boogie Down Bronx and raised in Money Earnin’ Mount Vernon.
Music was a constant for the Jamaican-decent creative who got his start supporting Marley Marl in the mix on WBLS at the age of 16. Inspired by the Godfather of Soul, Rock was driven to put his own soul on record.
Pete Rock’s career spans over 20 years, 11 albums, more than 25 million in album sale, songs netting 7-digit streaming numbers and countless productions including the Grammy Winner For Rap Album of the Year: Kanye West’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”.
